The Aale is a bedside table that takes inspiration from the playful forms of the Channapatna toys! The craftsperson and artists bring together multiple shapes and achieve a harmonious touch!We tried to incorporate the same approach with the legs of the table; working closesly with a wood turner in Mysore to achieve the detail. The minimal body of the table, is a constant theme through all the rooms in Chavadi Mane, bringing them together. The raised edge prevents items from rolling over, it also acts as the support to open the drawer!

The Nook, uses one material, molding it to make a minimal and aesthetic side table. It has been designed to cater to be highly ascetic for the sleepy user, aiming to minimize the number of actions a person would make to reach their end function. Something as simple as sliding in a book, to opening a drawer. However aesthetically, it also allows one to place the table in both modern as well as traditional spaces.
